Ab Workout!

This is my current favorite ab workout! It’s simple, to the point, and great for beginners.  I start and end all of my workouts with cardio to increase weightloss, so for that purpose I’ll include the cardio exercises that I’d do on a normal ab day:

Pre-cardio: 15 minutes on the elliptical machine (2min. 30sec. on level 1; 2min. 30sec. on level 3; 2min. 30sec. on level 5; 2min. 30sec. on level 7; 2min. 30sec. on level 10; and 2min. 30sec. on level 12 )

Abs: (repeat 3 times)

  • 1 minute plank
  • 15 Russian twists (each side) with 8lb medicine ball (or whatever weight, depending on your strength level) and elevated feet
  • 30 seconds of mountain climbers (as many as you can do!)
  • 25 sit-ups

Post-cardio: 15 minutes on the stair climber (5min. on level 5; 5min. on level 6; 5min. on level 7)
